Q: QUCK BASIL BREAD
Mix. Pour. Bake.
What can be easier?
Here’s a great (and fast) recipe for a tasty Basil Bread from Canola Eat Well for Life.
QUICK BASIL BREAD
INGREDIENTS
3 cups flour
3 TB sugar
2 TB baking powder
2 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp salt
3 TB finely chopped basil
3 large eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1/3 cup canola oil
DIRECTIONS
In large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, dry mustard, salt and basil leaves.
In separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk and canola oil. Stir liquid ingredients into dry ingredients, just until all ingredients are moistened. Pour batter into greased and floured 9 x 5 inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350 F for about 60 minutes or until done and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack 15 minutes. Remove from pan, place loaf on wire rack and cool completely.
Looks seriously scrummy. I wonder if I can adapt this recipe for my breadmaker.

Hmmmm, I wonder. Does yours have a quick bread setting that skips the rising process? Good idea.
